Senior Systems Engineer – MSP | Melbourne (Hybrid)

50% project work 50% BAU support

Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 + super

About the Role

This role blends project delivery with senior-level support, working closely with customers to design, implement, and support modern Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions.

You’ll play a key role in resolving complex escalations, delivering high-quality project outcomes, and contributing to an exceptional customer experience within a collaborative MSP environment.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Engineer (or similar)
• Strong background within the MSP sector
• Solid hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Defender
• Relevant Microsoft certifications
• Sound networking fundamentals (switching, routing, VLANs, WiFi)
• Exposure to cybersecurity principles and modern security tooling
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with customers on infrastructure and cloud-based solutions
• Deliver project work across Microsoft and hybrid environments
• Act as an escalation point for Level 2 engineers
• Contribute to improving operational maturity, documentation, and processes
• Share knowledge across the team and mentor junior engineers
• Provide professional, high-quality support with a strong focus on customer outcomes
