The Opportunity As a HR Business Partner, you will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of human resources programs, policies, processes and procedures within your portfolio. Ensuing that human resources programs / initiatives are aligned to business objectives and the global people strategy to attract, retain, and reward employees. The role will allow you to partner with managers to provide strategic and operational HRM and ER advice and counsel. Contribute to the effective and proactive engagement of employees through clearly communicating and implementing HR initiatives and effectively managing grievances and/or investigations. Under general supervision you will be responsible for solving complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. This role is a full time permanent opportunity, based in Canberra or Brisbane.Required Qualifications, Experience And Knowledge

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resource Management
  • Experience in a similar role, working for a global organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and offer pragmatic solutions.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and advise on ER matters
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills,
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, negotiate, and resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in Defence Industry – desirable
  • Experience with HRIS, Workday – highly desirable
