  • Seeking contractors to cover Geelong

Introduction

We are seeking to increase our team of assessors who conduct several types of vocational assessments of people with a disability in employment, for the National Panel of Assessors (NPA) in Geelong and surrounds.

The opportunity

These Contracting roles are on an ABN/invoicing arrangement and are as work demands and well suited to work in with your business, other part time work or contracting services.

Training and accreditation in the assessment tools will be provided. An induction, ongoing professional development and support will also be provided.

About you

  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in a field of relevance such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, psychology, other allied health or disability services
  • Minimum 2 years' practical experience in disability employment or related sectors
  • Good assessment and report writing skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders including the client and employers

The Program

Ongoing Support Assessments (OSAs) are used to determine the appropriate level of ongoing support that a participant needs to maintain their employment. The purpose of a Supported Wage System (SWS) Assessment is to determine the productivity of a person with disability working in the open labour market.

Diversity and Inclusion

We are proud to hold the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice Citation and be a recognised Disability Confident Company.

At MAX, we value diversity – in the backgrounds, ideas, work styles and perspectives of our team. We strongly encourage people with disability, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, mature aged workers and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to apply.

We adhere to the National Principles for Child Safety and require all team members to be committed to child safety and well-being. Our induction and training will provide you with these principles, including having an understanding of children's developmental needs and culturally safe practices.
