We admit over 1400 patients per annum and are committed to high quality neonatal care within the Victorian Public Health care system. Opportunity to join our Neonatal team at Mercy Hospital for Women as a Neonatal Fellow (8 EFT). We are fully accredited for both basic and advanced training in paediatrics (both general paediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine) with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- One fixed term full-time position is available for a term of 12 months.
- Responsible for the supervision of clinical care provided by Neonatal Registrars caring for newborn infants under the guidance of the Neonatal consultant.
- The POCUS Fellow position will have an average of 0.2EFT dedicated time to learning point of care ultrasound. You will be supervised by ASUM accredited clinicians, with the potential to develop skills in cranial ultrasound, lung ultrasound or cardiac ultrasound.
- Direct patient care over both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Administrative duties; teaching and research activity is expected. There is an active teaching program for fellows.

ABOUT YOU:
- Applicants should be Advanced Trainees with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or hold comparable, recognised qualifications/experience if you are an overseas candidate.
- Medical registration (or eligible for) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Suitably experienced applicants may be appointed to a Senior Fellow position, with support in transition to consultant practice.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to guide and develop Registrars, Medical students, Nursing staff and others as required.
- High level clinical skill and judgement in Neonatology.
- Australian citizenship or be eligible for full Australian working visa (administrative assistance will be provided).
