Senior Finance Director

Lead Financial Excellence in a Strategic Health Service Leadership RolePlay a pivotal role in strengthening financial stewardship, driving performance and advising executive leadership to support high-quality healthcare delivery within the Logan Beaudesert Health Service.Your New Role This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high standards of financial stewardship, compliance and performance across Logan Beaudesert Health Service, while supporting the Executive Director and Executive Team with strategic financial insight and risk management advice. This position will:

• Lead the local Finance and Business Support teams to deliver customer-focused, efficient and cost-effective financial services aligned to Hospital and Metro South Health objectives.
• Oversee annual budget development, financial performance monitoring, forecasting, variance analysis and statutory reporting, ensuring strong budget integrity and optimisation of revenue and expenditure.
• Provide high-level financial and risk management advice to the Executive Team, influencing performance outcomes and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and controls to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and quality standards.

About you: You are a strategic and values-driven finance leader who combines technical expertise with strong people leadership and the ability to influence at senior levels.

• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex budgets with advanced financial management, reporting and systems expertise.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, articulate a shared vision and successfully manage change in complex environments.
• Strong communicator and negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage performance variation and represent the organisation professionally.
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement, ethical decision-making and alignment with Metro South values.
