The Role
As a National Account Manager, you will take ownership of a flagship national retail relationship, playing a critical role in driving revenue growth, protecting margin and strengthening long-term commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead account strategy across pricing, range reviews and promotional planning while ensuring alignment between internal teams and retail execution. This is a senior commercial position with significant revenue responsibility and high visibility across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Full ownership of a major national retail account
• Develop and execute structured Joint Business Plans aligned to annual growth targets
• Lead annual and seasonal range reviews and commercial negotiations
• Manage pricing strategy and implement price increases where required
• Identify and deliver range expansion opportunities
• Monitor competitor activity and category performance trends
• Drive margin protection and revenue optimisation initiatives
• Align forecasting with supply chain and operations to ensure stock continuity
• Maintain and strengthen senior-level buyer relationships
• Collaborate closely with marketing, product and finance to support commercial execution
Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate is a commercially disciplined National or Key Account Manager who understands the complexity of managing major retail partnerships.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Key Account Management role
• A strong track record managing national retail accounts
• Sound commercial and financial acumen
• Confidence negotiating pricing, range and promotional activity
• The ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into actionable strategy
• A structured, proactive and disciplined approach to account planning
