Operations Manager – Residential Landscape Design & Construction

Nest Landscape Design is an award-winning company delivering some of the Gold Coast’s most recognised residential landscapes. Our projects are detailed, design-driven and built by a passionate team who take real pride in their work.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to bring structure, leadership and energy to our operations. This is a key role looking 4 weeks to 12 months ahead, making sure projects are resourced, budgets are accurate and systems are sharp. You’ll work closely with the Director and lead through our Project Manager, Site Supervisors, Construction team and our trusted Sub Contractors and Suppliers.

In this role you’ll:

• Oversee cashflow forecasting, budgeting and reporting
• Manage procurement, purchase orders and subcontractor agreements
• Provide technical input on construction methodology and sequencing
• Coordinate council, certifier and engineer requirements
• Lead safety and quality systems across multiple sites
• Mentor and support supervisors and crews
• Create lasting relationships with our subcontractors and suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes (SimPro experience a bonus)

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven construction operations management experience (landscape background a bonus)
• Strong financial and forecasting skills
• A sharp technical eye and ability to spot issues early
• Confidence engaging with clients, architects, builders and subcontractors
• A collaborative leadership style that motivates teams
