The Northern Land Council is seeking a highly organised and culturally aware Executive Assistant to support the General Manager – Land & Sea Management. This is not your average EA role. You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic team working across Caring for Country, Sea Country, Learning on Country, Partnerships, and Community Planning & Development. About The Role As Executive Assistant to the General Manager – Land & Sea Management, you’ll play a central role in supporting one of NLC’s most diverse and impactful portfolios. From Caring for Country and Sea Country to Learning on Country and Community Planning, this position is all about coordination, communication, and keeping things moving. You’ll manage a busy calendar, prepare high-level briefings, handle correspondence, and ensure executive actions are followed through. Working closely with Traditional Owners, internal teams, and external partners, you’ll help create space for strategic thinking by keeping the operational wheels turning. What You Will Bring You’re highly organised, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced environments. With strong communication skills and a knack for managing competing priorities, you know how to keep things on track without missing a beat. You bring experience in executive support or high-level administration, and you’re confident working across cultures with respect and discretion. Your real strength lies in your ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and support leadership that makes a difference. In addition to this, you will have: -

  • Substantial experience providing executive support to a senior leader in a complex, high-volume environment.
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and electronic records systems such as TRIM.
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel remotely as required.

  • A base salary of $83,099 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
  • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
  • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
  • Paid Christmas close down;
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177
