About The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker with expertise in oncology and cancer care to join the Social Work team at Tweed Valley Hospital, home to one of the region's leading state-of-the-art Cancer Care Services. As a valued member of the Senior Social Work team, you will provide advanced psychosocial assessment, intervention and support to patients and families navigating the cancer journey across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care that supports optimal health and wellbeing outcomes. This specialist Level 3 position also plays a key leadership role in developing social work capability across the service. In addition to your clinical responsibilities within Cancer Care, you will provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to junior Social Workers across Tweed Valley Hospital, Murwillumbah District Hospital and Byron Central Hospital, contributing to the delivery of high-quality social work services across the network. This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about cancer care and is looking to further develop their leadership, workforce development and service improvement skills within a supportive and progressive health service.
