Northern Transportables is a proudly NT-based company specialising in quality modular building solutions across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team and play a key role in strengthening our accounting and reporting functions.

💼 About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality financial services through a mix of hands-on accounting tasks, tax compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll be responsible for:

Preparing annual, half-yearly and monthly financial accounts and management reports

Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

Lodging BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax returns

Supervising Accounts Payable and Receivable functions

Assisting with insurance, lease financing and ad-hoc financial projects

Supporting process improvement and compliance initiatives

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their accounting expertise in a dynamic project-based environment.

🎓 About You

You’ll bring a strong grounding in accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You have:

A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business (CPA/CA qualified or working towards highly regarded)

3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role

Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance

Intermediate to advanced skills in MYOB and Excel

Excellent attention to detail, communication and time-management skills
