About the Role:
Due to an internal move, NRW have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be a highly organised individual who will thrive working under pressure and delivering to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of service and attention to detail.
To be considered for this position as Senior HR Advisor, you must possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial relations, Law or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of strategic thinking and analytical ability
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrated ability in coaching leaders on complex ER/IR issues
- Proven ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively
- Experience working in the civil and/or mining sectors would be highly desirable
- Valid Western Australian C or C-A Class Driver’s License
As a Senior HR Advisor reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Review tender and prequalification documentation, ensuring compliance to Client IR requirements , IR strategy and best practice
- Attend Project Start Up and demobilisation meetings and set clear expectations with key stakeholders, aligning to HR strategy
- Lead negotiations on enterprise agreements and provide advice on complex employee relations matters
- Union right of entry management including leader awareness, training and day to day management in collaboration with the Client
- Provide advice, assistance, coaching and mentoring to leaders on industrial and employment relations issues, grievances, investigations and dispute settlement.
- Coach, mentor and develop junior team members
- Monitor external ER, IR and employment environment and upskill leaders internally on best practice
- Assist with HR and IR strategy execution
- Assist with remuneration surveys, benchmarking and annual reviews
- Ensure HR and IR deliverables are complied with in accordance with commercial contracts and ensure NRW meets Client requirements
- Represent NRW in responding to external claims or hearings, as required
- Identify and manage emerging ER/IR risks and opportunities
- Develop and maintain ER/IR policies, procedures and Guidelines ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders unions and external advisors
- Facilitate consultation of major workplace change and ensure effective communication and engagement
- Generate accurate activity forecasts and reporting
- Any other tasks as required by the business or as directed by your Manager
