About Us The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare. About The Opportunity The Senior Project Officer, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Care will lead and support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of anaesthetic and perioperative care across NSW. Reporting to the Anaesthesia and Perioperative Care Network Manager, the role delivers projects aligned to the priorities and work plans of the Network. Working collaboratively with Network managers and staff, the Senior Project Officer will manage all aspects of project management, including planning, milestone reporting, stakeholder engagement, budget management, and project monitoring and evaluation. This role operates within the ACI Surgery, Anaesthesia, and Precision Medicine Stream, supporting key initiatives that improve healthcare outcomes across NSW. Selection Criteria

• Extensive experience in project management in a complex service environment, including relevant qualifications or equivalent experience. This includes broad knowledge and practical experience working with clinicians, and within policies and system frameworks relevant to anaesthesia and perioperative care.
• Highly developed ability to work within and support multidisciplinary teams, with proven ability to communicate, negotiate and influence senior clinicians and executives to drive change and improvement.
• Demonstrated experience to lead all phases of project management from design to implementation and evaluation, with high attention to detail.
• High-level system knowledge of current issues, challenges and priorities in anaesthesia, perioperative care and the broader NSW health system.
• Ability to interpret complex information quickly and accurately, with advanced understanding of data quality and the capacity to use data to inform problem‑solving.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise and well‑structured reports, briefs and correspondence for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and project management software, such as MS Project, MS Visio and relevant data collection tools.
