Are you looking to make a move to an in-house recruitment role where you can also contribute to shaping broader HR aspects of a business? Due to a current growth phase, we are looking for a skilled recruiter to support the HR Manager in the end-to-end recruitment function. Initially a 6-month contract, this position may extend or become permanent for the right person.

About this Role
Working from our Newcastle CBD office, this is a fast-paced role where you will know how to juggle and multitask – working on both the “urgent” and “important” tasks drawing from your previous experience in managing a busy recruitment desk. This exciting opportunity offers you the platform to demonstrate your capability and further develop your HR career within an organisation where you will work with senior members of our team to attract quality talent. You need to be systems oriented and highly efficient in how you work.
The key functions of this role include:
• Working closely with key stakeholders to develop job briefs and draft job advertisements
• Managing the full candidate experience from application, phone screening, shortlisting, conducting interviews, background/reference checks, making offers, preparing contracts.
• Onboarding new starters to ensure they understand the Palaris way and can contribute in a meaningful way sooner, to feel valued.
• Experience in customising creative methods to optimise sourcing, screening and selection of top talent needs to be one of your natural abilities.
_Whilst recruitment is a significant focus of this role, you will have an opportunity to gain exposure and develop in broader HR functions including induction, training and HR administration._About You
You will have a natural style that engages with a range of professionals, where your priority is a positive experience for all applicants. Your communication style will be engaging, respectful and driven by presenting Palaris professionally. An ability to have genuine conversations with applicants is second nature to you.
The success person will:
1. Have a minimum of 3 years working in a fast-paced recruitment environment – ideally recruiting professionals
2. Ideally, have completed relevant HR tertiary qualifications or be undertaking those (not essential)
3. Display good working knowledge of LinkedIn sourcing and other job board websites
4. Love a challenge, being busy and be able to keep calm under pressure
5. Have a curious mindset that enables you to find quality candidates
6. Be experienced with a recruitment ATS or HRIS system (We use Zoho Recruit)
7. Have an outcome focus, balanced with an appreciation of good process
