Job Description Our federal government client is seeking an APS5 Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract, based in Canberra. In this role you will work within the legal and compliance team, contributing to the development, planning and production of compliance and/or investigation products, outputs and outcomes. Key Duties/Deliverables
- Utilising a recognised fraud investigation or intelligence qualification and/or relevant regulatory experience obtained in a government, law enforcement or military intelligence context, to support the planning and production of compliance and/or investigation outputs and outcomes.
- Conducting payment integrity and/or fraud assessments and producing reports for complex matters from the collection, evaluation and analysis of information.
- Complying with all relevant legislation, internal policy and guidelines for the management of information and the use of ICT systems and tools.
- Contributing to the development of business rules, refinements and suggested avenues of analysis and investigation.
- Producing compliance and/or fraud products within set timeframes in compliance with the intelligence cycle, legislative, policy and information security frameworks.
- Maintaining accurate files and records in relation to business decisions and intelligence activities and functions, contributing to reporting requirements.

- Ability to ensure that stakeholder internal or external needs are met and to build productive relationships with high-priority stakeholders
- Strong planning and organisational skills with an ability to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.
- Experience identifying and understanding problems and opportunities by gathering, analysing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information and then choosing the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making timely decisions.
- Experience using effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific work outcomes.
To be considered for this role you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance. The role is based in Canberra with flexible hybrid working.
