As a Senior Supervisor, you’ll manage a team delivering planned and responsive maintenance to a wide range of commercial and residential government buildings—from schools and offices to social housing and police stations. You’ll oversee inspections, coordinate works, supervise teams, and ensure compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction at every step. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of tradespeople, contractors and office staff to deliver maintenance, upgrades and minor capital works across government-owned buildings
  • Conduct and oversee property inspections to assess maintenance needs, prioritize safety and compliance, and scope work
  • Manage responsive and planned maintenance programs for both commercial and residential properties, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Oversee the allocation of resources including vehicles, plant and materials
  • Supervise the delivery of construction and repair works, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and contract conditions
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships across government departments to ensure service expectations are met and exceeded
  • Promote the departments services and explore new business opportunities within government portfolios
  • Monitor budgets, timelines and performance indicators to ensure projects are delivered within scope and value for money
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture

Successful candidate

  • A strong background in building construction and/or property maintenance
  • Experience in managing teams and contractors on multi-site programs of work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients, staff and suppliers
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, workplace safety standards, and building codes
  • Confidence in scheduling and prioritizing inspection reports, work orders, and urgent repairs

Experience in delivering works in sensitive or live environments (such as schools, housing or justice settings) will be highly regarded. If you are a candidate located in Brisbane's southern suburbs or across the Gold Coast region experienced in the build construction & maintenance space, this is the role for you!
