This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide. Here they will draw their previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop, whilst fostering an outstanding safety culture . As The Workshop Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Oversight and management of a dedicated workshop in support of Explosive Ordnance Projects
  • Lead the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
  • Manage the servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the Workshop
  • Drive safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance with all workshop users
  • Provide technical input to support user requirements
  • Develop or maintain documentation including Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Equipment
  • maintenance procedures
  • Potential support to customer training and competency management

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate with have experience in the following;

  • Significant manufacturing/production experience leading safety-critical technical operations
  • Relevant trade qualification(s) - certified mechanical/electrical technician (essential)
  • Certificate IV WH&S certification (preferred)
  • Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi discipline workshop environment (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks
  • Experience leading improvement processes implementations e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
  • Ability to engage positively
