About The Role

  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, infection control and OH&S standards.
  • Participate in Optimising the efficient and effective utilisation of human and financial resources.
  • Drive positive outcomes and deliver exceptional customer services.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Participate in workforce management, planning and development of your staff including rostering to operational requirements.
  • Support the operational management of the Enviro (Housekeeping), Patient Transport, Laundry and other areas as directed.
  • Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the entire hospital including the cleanliness of patient rooms, consulting suites, theatre complexes, offices and general areas of the hospital.
  • Ensure the effective management and monitoring of contractual services including agency staff.
  • Performance manage staff in a professional timely manner in line with Ramsay Health Care requirements.
  • Support individual and departmental professional development to ensure the workforce skill set meets the needs of the diversity and acuity of current and future direction of the organisation and legislative requirements.
  • Have a sound knowledge of your current profession including policies and practices and be able to initiate, manage and nurture a culture that embraces change in accordance with best practice, organisational policies and procedures and state legislation.

  • Effective communication skills and proven ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to positively influence others in order to engage your team members is what needs to be undertaken.
  • Hold a high level of dedication in meeting both internal and external expectations and requirements.
  • Be confident in taking responsibility for guiding the strategies, policies and processes implemented in the department.
  • Hold accountability for your team and the results achieved.
  • Experience in Hospital Environmental Services is essential.
