We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Director/Practice Lead to join our Environmental Planning & Approvals (EPA) team in Perth. This is an opportunity for a highly respected technical specialist to play a leading role in delivering complex multidisciplinary projects, providing strategic technical direction and strengthening client relationships across the WA market. The Opportunity As Technical Director/Practice Lead, you will be recognised internally and externally as a senior technical authority within Environmental Planning & Approvals. You will provide high-level technical input across major projects, contribute to strategic growth initiatives and work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver outstanding client outcomes. You will bring an extensive knowledge base of State and Federal Environment Legislation, strong commercial awareness, advanced technical capability and the ability to influence and support project outcomes across a diverse portfolio of work. This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building trusted client relationships and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clients with environmental approvals advice and strategies to successfully navigate State and Federal legislative requirements.
- Provide senior technical leadership across complex environmental planning and management projects
- Deliver high-level technical advice, troubleshooting and strategic project input
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project delivery across teams and business units
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders
- Support business development activities, proposals and strategic pursuits
- Ensure quality project outcomes, risk management and commercial performance
- Mentor and share technical expertise with colleagues across the business
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within service delivery

- Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Strong technical expertise across environmental planning and management
- Demonstrated experience delivering large and complex projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Commercial acumen and experience managing project performance
- A collaborative approach and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Professional certifications and active industry involvement will be highly regarded
