PAS Regional Operations Manager

We have a role available for a PAS Regional Operations Manager to join our Defence division and support us in this contract. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory.

About the role

You will be responsible for delivering effective leadership and overseeing operational management across various defence bases within the region (covering the Northern Territory).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the primary point of contact for SEG staff, ensuring timely and accurate incident notifications and maintaining strong communication channels.
• Providing direction and oversight for all operational activities across multiple bases, ensuring alignment with the region-wide defence contract objectives.
• Conducting regional financial reviews to monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Overseeing regular performance reviews to assess operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Ensuring all operational activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Providing leadership, support, and development opportunities to the regional operations team to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support operational goals and objectives.
• Leading continuous improvement activities to enhance operational processes, increase efficiency, and ensure best practices are followed.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in leadership or project management (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in operations management, preferably within the defence sector or a similar field.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-site operations.
• Experience in liaising with government agencies and stakeholders.
• Valid driver's licence.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
