Design Assistant

Design Assistant | SHERIDAN | Pyrmont We’re looking for an action & detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our Sheridan design team! You will be supporting the development of high-quality, commercially focused product ranges.

• In this role, your primary focus will be on the technical and operational aspects of design development process.
• You’ll work closely with designers and cross-functional teams to build and maintain spec packs, manage product data, track samples, and support the end-to-end product lifecycle through our PLM system.
• Alongside your core responsibilities, you’ll also contribute to market and trend research, ensuring our products stay relevant and inspiring for our customers.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on process and precision, but also enjoys supporting the design development process in a commercial environment. What You’ll Do

• Support design execution across the full product lifecycle
• Manage product specs, PLM systems, samples, and critical paths
• Conduct market and trend research and create seasonal mood boards
• Assist in packaging briefs and vendor communication
• Maintain studio admin including sorting, archiving, and cataloguing seasonal ranges.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in design, textiles, or related field
• Adobe Creative Suite skills and solid Microsoft Office knowledge
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong time management skills
• Great communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders
• A passion for homewares, textiles, and the Sheridan brand
