We are seeking a passionate and culturally grounded Team Leader to join our Aboriginal Women’s Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Homelessness Services within the Connecting Home, Housing and Homelessness branch. Job DescriptionABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Team Leader – for the Women’s Domestic & Family Violence Housing and Homelessness team, to provide operational leadership across multiple office locations. In This Role, You Will

  •      Lead, support and supervise frontline program worker teams
  •      Oversee day-to-day operations, safety and service quality
  •      Participate in and provide reflective cultural supervision, guidance and coaching to program workers and support staff
  •      Ensure trauma-informed, person-centred practice is embedded across services
  •      Maintain compliance with funding agreements, policies and legislative requirements
  •      Strengthen employee’s connection to culture, kinship and community networks
  •      Work in partnership with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Elders and local stakeholders
  •      Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships outside (ACCOs)
  •      Support staff wellbeing, service improvement and positive client outcomes

This is a fixed-term, full-time role until 31 December 2027About You You will bring:

  •      Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in social work, community services, psychology, welfare or related field
  •      Understanding of the ongoing impacts of colonisation, intergenerational trauma and systemic disadvantage
  •      Demonstrated ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with Aboriginal Peoples
  •      Demonstrated leadership experience within domestic and family violence, homelessness or refuge services
  •      Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills
  •      Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the social, historical and systemic factors impacting families
  •      A commitment to culturally safe, strengths based and trauma-informed practice
  •      Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  •      NSW Working With Children Check
  •      Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
