Senior Automation Engineer

Requirements As part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting all systems and equipment within the engineering department as well as participating in the development of HPA automation requirements across all of its terminals. Duties also include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the performance of the automation equipment within the O&M Budget
• Assistance with maintenance and improvement of facility and equipment
• Identifying, evaluating and developing the automation requirements with the project technology team from Hong Kong as well as providing input on the automation aspects of the projects of HPA
• Assist with the terminals’ automation and technology layout and design
• Assist with the assessment of systems designed and installed by equipment suppliers as required

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering or related discipline
• PLC programming for both issue resolution and modification, SCADA and VSD configuration skills
• Ideally 5 or more years of experience in an engineering role with automated equipment
• Ability to hold and maintain the relevant high risk license / licenses and trades qualifications as required
• Collaborative culture and team orientated individual
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of safety awareness, compliance, leadership and commitment to safety practices
• Hold and maintain current driver’s license
• Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to work full time in Australia and obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)

It Would Be Desirable If The Candidate Has

• Experience in fully automated and or high speed production environment
• Exposure to labour and contractor management experience
