The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our Delivery team and lead the design work that shapes how our clients' brands perform online.
At The Working Party, design is a craft. We don't just create interfaces; we design experiences that solve real customer and business problems, support conversion, and strengthen how brands perform in the market. This role exists to ensure our design output is thoughtful, effective and commercially valuable, balancing creative ambition with delivery realities.
You will work closely with eCommerce Strategists, Business Analysts, Developers and Tech Leads across discovery, concept development, client presentation, handover and design quality assurance - bringing clarity to design decisions and helping guide the team toward strong outcomes for clients and the business alike.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
- Leading the design components of discovery workshops, bringing a clear design perspective to planning and client conversations.
- Creating high-fidelity UX/UI designs across required screen sizes, translating client branding, goals and eCommerce best practice into cohesive, conversion-focused experiences.
- Producing wireframes, sitemaps and Digital Design Guides that give clients and delivery teams clarity, confidence and a shared understanding of design direction.
- Managing design work in line with agreed scope, timelines and budget, protecting design integrity while identifying and flagging scope risks early.
- Collaborating closely with developers to ensure designs are implementation-ready, feasible and clearly documented for accurate handover.
- Reviewing development progress and completing final design quality assurance before launch, ensuring outcomes meet expected standards.
- Mentoring and supporting junior designers, and contributing to The Working Party's design templates, systems and ways of working.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience as a Senior UX/UI Designer, ideally within eCommerce, digital agency or client services environments.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-fidelity UX/UI design across web and mobile, grounded in commercially sound design decisions.
- Confidence in contributing to discovery workshops and translating client goals into clear design direction.
- Strong skills in Figma (or similar) and prototyping tools, with the ability to produce clean, implementation-ready design files.
- A solid understanding of eCommerce best practice and conversion-focused design; Shopify or Shopify Plus experience highly regarded.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence presenting and explaining design rationale to clients.
- A structured, detail-oriented approach with an understanding of scope, budget and delivery constraints.
- A genuine interest in mentoring others and raising design capability across a team.
