At Toll Group, we are proud to be expanding our Government & Defence portfolio through the Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract, delivering critical supply chain and transport solutions nationwide. We are seeking experienced and professional Drivers who holds a MC License to support the safe and efficient delivery of general freight to Defence customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and customer service. This is a diverse and rewarding role where flexibility and adaptability are essential, as you will be required to operate across HR, HC, and MC vehicles depending on operational requirements and including a current & valid Forklift License. Based at Robertson Barracks in the Northern Territory, you will play a key role in supporting both warehouse and transport operations. Responsibilities include local and linehaul freight deliveries across the NT, assisting with vehicle loading and unloading, and supporting warehouse operations through the picking, preparation, and staging of freight for dispatch in line with Defence and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong operational capability, a commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment. A current HR, HC, or MC Licence is essential, and a valid Forklift Licence is highly desirable to support loading and unloading activities. Why join us? How You’ll Make The Right Impact As a Spokerun/HR Driver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Defence logistics operations run efficiently and in line with contract expectations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:
- Ensuring the safe delivery of consignments with no damage
- Load your vehicle and restrain your load each day
- Complete safety vehicle checks
- Use of scanner and or complete paperwork when necessary
- Actively participate and attend safety and toolbox meetings
- Actively participate in incident investigations
- Comply with all legislated road laws and regulations, including both private and public networks
- Conduct all tasks within a customers’ site or in public arena with professionalism
- Hours of operation 07:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday & 07:00 - 13:30 Friday.

Eligibility to make the grade To apply for this role, you must:
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Provide a 5yrs Demerit Point History Check
- Hold a Valid MC Truck Lic & LF Forklift Lic
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
- Be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments.
