About This OpportunityAbout Us Earthcare St Kilda is a volunteer-led charity that has been working to protect St Kilda's coastal environment—including the famous St Kilda little penguin colony—for almost 40 years. We run regular events including: penguin counts, penguin guiding, school education programs, invasive sea star and kelp removal, tree planting, and rubbish clean-ups. What We Need Our team excels at research, events and community engagement, but we could really use some help from a team of people who understand the fundraising world. We're accustomed to operating on a shoestring budget and making every dollar count. We don't need millions, but we do need a dedicated team who can secure the modest, reliable funding that keeps our vital work going. The Opportunity Build a new fundraising team from scratch. Develop a practical strategy to secure funding through corporate partnerships, private sponsorships, grants (we have lots of experience in project-specific grants), and other sources for both projects and operational needs. We promise we will take you out to meet the penguins too. Positions Available: Fundraising Coordinator (1 position)

• Develop fundraising strategy for committee approval
• Build and coordinate the new Fundraising team
• Lead the delivery of the fundraising strategy
• Establish donor relationships
• Focus on achievable, sustainable funding goals
• Attend Committee meetings for reporting (virtual, 2hrs on the last Monday of every month)

Looking for: Leadership skills, strategic thinking, fundraising experience or transferable business development skills Fundraising Team Members (multiple positions)

• Work under the guidance of the Fundraising Coordinator, and assist with the development of a fundraising strategy
• Assist in the delivery of the fundraising strategy, including writing grant applications and sponsorship proposals
• Support donor relationships
• Attend meetings as required

• Regular - more than 6 months
• **Time Commitment**: Coordinator: Minimum of 2hrs per month to attend/report at committee meetings. -Team Members are welcomed and encouraged to also attend, to better understand the needs of the organisation. The strategy development can occur in your own time frame, working in with your other Team Members. As a guide, most of our other sub-committees meet once a month for planning and task assignment. From there, Team Members work independently throughout the month.
