Job DescriptionEngineer – Bridges – Perth Deliver bridge design and assessment work in WA—while growing your capability with support. What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? WSP is growing our Bridges, Aviation and Roads team in Perth. You’ll contribute to bridge design, assessment and inspection work across WA transport infrastructure - learning from experienced local engineers and drawing on national and global specialists. You’ll work on projects ranging from major highways and rail upgrades to airports and local bridge packages - helping connect communities and improve safety and resilience. Role snapshot The opportunity Location: Perth CBD (flexible working available) Discipline: Bridges and transport structures (roads/rail) Level: Engineer Focus: design, assessments/inspections and project delivery support Development: mentoring, technical training and clear career pathways The role As an Engineer (Bridges), you’ll contribute to the design and assessment of bridges and transport structures across WA, supporting project teams to deliver safe, sustainable and constructible solutions. You’ll produce and check calculations and drawings, support inspections and reporting, and work with multidisciplinary teams to meet client requirements. Success in this role means high-quality technical outputs, strong collaboration, and a proactive approach to safety in design and continuous improvement with guidance and review from senior engineers. What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the delivery of complex transport and civil bridge infrastructure projects across WA
  • Provide technical input to civil bridge designs, drawings and reports
  • Undertake inspections of bridges and other civil structures
  • Work directly with clients to understand project needs and deliver value-driven solutions
  • Deliver work to scope, programme and cost across multiple projects of varying scale
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and nationally
  • Contribute technical input to proposals and pursuits in support of business growth

What You’ll Bring Must have

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Consulting experience delivering structural/bridge design tasks and technical outputs
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and WA client requirements (Main Roads WA, PTA) relevant to bridge/structures work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience with structural analysis/modelling and documentation tools (e.g., MIDAS, Revit) or willingness to learn
  • Commitment to safety in design, quality and continuous improvement

Nice to have

  • Chartered status (e.g., CPEng) or working towards it
  • Bridge inspections and condition assessment experience
  • Construction-phase support and design-for-constructability exposure
