Social Media Manager - Full time, based in Melbourne If you’re a social obsessed creative who lives for content, culture, and community, then this role is for you. Yo-Chi is one of Australia’s coolest young brands in the midst of a major growth spurt - and we’re looking for a sharp, energetic, content-loving Social Media Manager who can capture the spirit of Yo-Chi online and help us spread the chi far and wide. About The Company Yo-Chi was born from an idea to bring together delicious frozen yogurt and toppings, with an infinite flow of good energy, in a space where people can socially connect. Since opening our first venue in Balaclava in 2012, we’ve grown to 66 locations nationwide - and we’re just getting started, with plans to double in size over the next 18 months. About The Role The Social Media Manager is responsible for executing Yo-Chi’s social strategy across all digital platforms, driving engagement, and growing our online community. You’ll oversee content creation on Instagram & Tiktok, digital screen content creation, lead the content team and community team, monitor trends, and ensure we’re always ahead of the curve. You’ll lead our internal content creator team, empower venue teams to create fun, on-brand content, and help shape the way Australia experiences Yo-Chi online. You’ll report to the Head of Socials, working closely with the broader marketing, product development, and venue teams. Responsibilities
- Generate and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms
- Lead and encourage venue teams to produce fun, high-quality, on-brand content
- Provide ongoing direction, feedback, and support to uplift creative quality
- Foster a collaborative, positive and brand-aligned creative culture
- Manage team workflow and priorities to meet campaign deadlines
- Implement initiatives to grow Yo-Chi’s social presence
- Monitor and report on campaign performance and refine strategies for best results
- Stay ahead of best practice, algorithms, and platform updates
- Leading point on campaign photoshoots - creative direction, managing photographers and on-site execution
- Keep a sharp eye on social trends, creators, and emerging opportunities
- Conduct regular competitor reviews and recommend improvement
- Proactively pitch innovative ideas to elevate Yo-Chi’s digital presence
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports on performance, engagement, and growth
- Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities
- Use insights to evolve content strategy and improve audience interaction
- Managing influencer relationships - crafting briefs, contracts and vetting content
The successful candidate will have:
- 3-5+ years experience in social media management
- A strong understanding of social platforms, content trends, and performance metrics
- Experience managing content calendars and leading creative teams
- A sharp eye for design, storytelling, and brand consistency
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using Meta Business Manager, TikTok ads, and social analytics tools
- Bonus points for photography/videography skills or Canva proficiency
- Extreme, pulpable passion in all things pop culture and social media
- Skills in CapCut - which is a very specific video editing tool we all use (not necessary but preferred)
