Qantas is reportedly considering a significant outsourcing move that could see up to 1,000 roles shifted to India. The airline has confirmed it is exploring the transfer of positions in marketing, finance, human resources, and other back-office functions as part of a potential deal with consulting giant Accenture.
The plan, dubbed Project iQ, was first reported by the Australian Financial Review. A final decision is expected later this year.
