The Project:
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project will double the number of rail tracks and upgrade stations for a 20 kilometre section of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Kuraby, a suburb south of Brisbane's CBD, and Beenleigh, a suburb of Logan City. We're looking for a Senior Surveyor to join the Alliance team, based in Beenleigh, on a project set to shape the region's infrastructure for decades to come.
About the Role:
As Senior Surveyor, you'll play a key role in the survey and setout function supporting design verification and construction delivery across this landmark rail corridor project. You'll work closely with engineering, design and construction teams to ensure survey accuracy and quality across a complex, multi-stakeholder alliance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate survey activities across the project, including setout, as-built verification, and control network management
- Review and quality-check survey data, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards
- Support design teams with topographic and engineering survey information
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior survey staff
- Liaise with subcontractors, designers and construction teams to resolve survey-related issues
- Maintain accurate survey records and documentation in line with Alliance and Queensland Rail/TMR requirements
About You:
- Degree or diploma qualification in Surveying (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with 12D is essential for this role
- Extensive experience in a senior surveying role on major civil, rail or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of survey control, setout and as-built processes
- Experience working within alliance or joint venture delivery models highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple delivery partners
- Current driver's licence; construction industry white card
