Project Coordinator – Commercial Fit-out

Aurex Group has been engaged by an established commercial workplace and fit-out business to appoint a Project Coordinator to join its Brisbane project delivery team.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across the full lifecycle of commercial office fit-out projects, from early-stage planning and procurement through to construction, handover and close-out.
The role would suit someone with a couple of years' experience across construction, commercial fit-out, building or property who is ready to take on greater project responsibility and continue developing toward a Project Management career.
The Opportunity
You will work as part of an integrated project delivery team, supporting the coordination of commercial workplace projects and working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Rather than being limited to project administration, you will gain exposure to the commercial and delivery aspects of projects, including procurement, cost management, programming, site coordination and stakeholder management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Project Managers with the coordination and delivery of commercial office fit-out projects
- Assisting with procurement, subcontractor engagement, tendering and purchase orders
- Coordinating project documentation, programmes, approvals, meeting minutes and reporting
- Liaising with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain project momentum
- Assisting with budgets, cost tracking, variations and broader project administration
- Supporting site activities and coordination throughout the construction phase
- Assisting with project handover, completion and close-out
- Building your knowledge across the complete project lifecycle while taking on increasing levels of responsibility
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and genuinely interested in building a long-term career in commercial project delivery.
Ideally, you will bring:
- 2+ years' experience within commercial construction, fit-out, building, property or a related project environment
- An understanding of construction processes, procurement, subcontractor coordination and project delivery
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence coordinating multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Building, Property or a related discipline would be highly regarded
