About The Role The AFL Events Coordinator is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of a number of events on the AFL and AFLW Events calendar consisting of corporate hospitality, public events, internal department events and match day events. Please note this is a max-term position until approximately end of July 2026. A DAY IN THE LIFE OFKey Accountabilities Event Management
- Identify and book venue and catering
- Coordinate running sheets and production schedules
- Manage the design and printing of all collateral
- Coordinate MC notes and entertainment content
- Compliance with allocated event budgets
- Management of function hosts
- Coordinate catering/security/technical/set-up requirements with venues, caterers and audio visual companies
- Accreditation management
- Talent management
- Beverage stock management
- Working with naming rights partners to ensure their desired outcomes
- Working with third party suppliers (catering companies, AV and production companies) to produce events
- Working with internal departments to ensure their desired outcomes
- Produce event debrief report demonstrating the successes, areas for improvement
Assistance for major events
- Talent coordination
- Accreditation creation and distribution
- Theming
- Dressing Room coordination
- Travel, accommodation and transfers coordination
- Venue liaison
- Production of key documents and event kits
- Production and distribution of post-event feedback surveys
Other Responsibilities
- Provide additional support to the Events Team regarding the preparation for and delivery of other events not specified, as required
- Provide occasional support at major events and match day functions either in the role of host or stage manager
- Challenging existing processes in order to create new efficiencies
- Match Day function administration
- Major events administration
- CRM and Event Management Software administration

Mandatory
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in the events and hospitality industry
- Administration skills
Desired
- Demonstrated experience in running end to end events and production
- Knowledge of event venues and production requirements
- Budget management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification
