About the opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Projects, Altrad are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Perth based role for an upcoming SMP Construction project in Perth’s northern metro region. Leveraging your proven expertise in managing complex projects, you’ll apply strong commercial acumen across both time & materials and lump sum contracts. This Senior leadership role provides a unique opportunity to drive meaningful results through proactive stakeholder engagement and decisive project leadership.
In this role you will:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, construction programming, subcontractor management, and financial reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, contract administration, progress claim management, and participation in pre-award and construction meetings.
- Manage and mentor high-performing project teams, providing leadership at project start-up and fostering a collaborative, accountable site culture.
- Drive compliance with contractual, quality, and HSEQ requirements by overseeing risk management, QA processes, and adherence to company policies and management systems.
- Contribute to business growth by supporting tender submissions with technical and financial expertise, assisting estimating teams, and identifying opportunities through ongoing client engagement.

About you
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry managing large contracts up to $50-100m.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex SMP Construction projects, with strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and project risk management.
- Commercially astute with advanced financial capability, including budget preparation, cash flow management, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
- Proven leader with the ability to mentor and manage multidisciplinary project teams, drive performance, and resolve complex challenges effectively.
- Strong understanding of HSEQ management systems, OH&S and environmental legislation (particularly within the energy and infrastructure sectors), supported by excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
