Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our Team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects leveraging AWS technologies including Agentic AI, Generative AI, Application Modernisation, Data and Analytics. You'll leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. As a DPM you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants working with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions using AWS's most advanced emerging services. You'll routinely engage with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards, whilst being responsible for opportunity capture and driving engagement delivery. You'll work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets. Your experience gained leading teams within the technology sector, will equip you with the ability to optimize team performance through implementing tailored people development plans, ensuring your teams are aligned to customer needs, and have the skills and capacity to address customer outcomes. Possessing the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers and then talk in technical depth with teams, you will cultivate strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe team relationships which enables exceptional business performance. DPMs success is primarily measured by consistently delivering customer engagements by supporting sales through scoping technical requirements for an engagement, delivering engagements on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. They will hold the Practice total utilization goal and be responsible for optimizing team performance. Key job responsibilities As an experienced Professional Services Senior Delivery Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Building and managing a high-performing team of Delivery Consultants specializing in emerging technologies and industry solutions
- Collaborating with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions leveraging AWS services
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of innovative, forward-looking IT strategies for customers across Mining, Energy, Banking & Insurance, Media & Entertainment, and Manufacturing industries
- Managing practice P&L, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer engagements while closing supply-demand gaps through strategic workforce planning
- Driving business development initiatives in nascent technology markets, positioning AWS ProServe as the trusted delivery partner for emerging technologies
- Implementing Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) operating models for high-complexity strategic accounts requiring embedded consulting approaches
Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities Program Governance and Value Realisation
- Own end-to-end program governance — Steering Committee cadence, executive reporting, investment decision support
- Track and report value realisation against the multi-year business case at each governance gate
- Manage cross-stream dependencies and integrated planning across all delivery streams
- Lead risk and issue management across the program; be escalated to for resolution
- Prepare for and lead the Post Investment Review at the 1-year mark
Commercial and Stakeholder Management
- Own the commercial relationship — manage program financials, negotiate scope and investment trade-offs, shape statements of work
- Operate as a strategic advisor to the customer's CDIO and executive leadership at peer level
- Partner with a global management consulting firm's Principal as an equal, maintaining AWS accountability for program outcomes
- Engage with AWS senior leadership on program strategy, escalations, and resource commitments
- Shape the longer-term commercial partnership model across delivery partners
Strategic Leadership
- Lead Year 3 planning and cross-divisional replication assessment
- Identify and drive strategic follow-on opportunities that provide genuine business value
- Apply principles of change management and transformation to ensure the program delivers behavioural and operational change — not just technology
- Build strategic relationships with appropriate stakeholders across the customer's executive team, operations leadership, and technology organisation
Team and Capability Building
- Lead and mentor the program management team
- Define and share engagement management best practices across the organisation
- Establish executive governance frameworks, operational excellence standards, and program reporting mechanisms
- Ensure the program team is stronger because of your presence, but does not require your presence to be successful

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges
- Experience with consulting practice leadership as manager of managers with team size 50+ and P&L responsibility
- Experience with enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
- Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
- Experience with international sales and delivery work with global F500 enterprise customers and partners
- Experience with vertical industry sales and delivery work of contemporary services and solutions
