A confidential client is seeking an accomplished and commercially astute General Manager to lead their Melbourne operation. This is a pivotal role for a mature, strategically minded leader who can drive growth, elevate performance and influence at every level.

About the Role

As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the Melbourne business, guiding strategy, operations and people performance. You’ll lead a capable team, shape future market opportunities and ensure the organisation delivers consistently high commercial and operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic planning, commercial growth and market positioning
  • Lead day‑to‑day operational performance with a focus on efficiency and scalability
  • Inspire, coach and empower a high‑performing team, fostering a positive, accountable culture
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing at senior levels
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting across financials, performance and operations
  • Ensure full compliance across regulatory, legal and internal governance requirements

You are a commercial leader with a strong blend of strategic insight, operational discipline and people leadership. You bring maturity, sound judgement and the ability to influence, challenge and execute at pace.
