We are seeking a Senior Billing Assessment Officer to provide expert support in delivering accurate, timely and compliant billing outcomes through assessment, investigation and audit activities.
This is a part-time (three days per week, required days are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday), 12 month fixed-term position. WFH/hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at either Doncaster or Ballarat in line with our hybrid working model.
About The Role
Responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:
- Respond to billing enquiries providing accurate advice and stakeholder's support
- Assess reports, service records and Patient Care Records to determine appropriate billing outcomes
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, escalating complex matters as required
- Apply specialist knowledge of billing systems, procedures and guidelines to support accurate and compliant billing outcomes
- Maintain accurate customer and billing records in line with privacy, data security and record management requirements
- Identify and support process improvements that enhance billing quality, efficiency and customer outcomes
To be considered for this position you will possess a completion of a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent is desirable. Other requirements include but not limited to:
- Experience working in financial data entry, billing, or accounts receivable department
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across multiple information sources
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain processes and outcomes to stakeholders
- Commitment to continuous improvement, customer service and teamwork
