We’re currently looking for a detail oriented, experienced Estimator to join our growing team and help us continue to deliver exceptional results.
Joining our close team, you will manage the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects and other trade related services. The ideal candidate will have a wide knowledge base of trades from Flooring, Painting, Renovations, concreting, Landscape work and more.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, determine scope of work, and identify potential risks or issues.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify scope and ensure the accuracy of estimates.
- Track project budgets and costs to ensure profitability.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and pricing changes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in estimating within the trades industry (construction, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Strong understanding of trade-specific materials, labor costs, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- A degree or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
