A Senior Analyst in the Strategic Intelligence team leads analysis to support ASIC leadership and teams to prioritise their areas of focus and undertake their activities. Your work contributes to ASIC's effective use of intelligence to inform its decision-making. You will also play a central role in developing and implementing ASIC's Intelligence Strategy.

  • Salary starting from $152,074 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation

The team Join ASIC's Strategic Intelligence (SI) team within the Registry & Intelligence group, where you'll produce actionable insights that shape organisational strategy and support confident participation in Australia's financial system. The team helps ASIC by providing economic and risk analysis, strategic data analysis and operational intelligence and leads ASIC's intelligence strategy. This role will contribute to the team's delivery of operational intelligence and implementing the Intelligence Strategy. The roleAs a Senior Analyst, You Will

  • Drive the development and implementation of ASIC's intelligence strategy and foster a strong intelligence culture.
  • Analyse diverse data sets to create clear, actionable insights and present findings in an engaging way.
  • Lead projects assessing strategic and emerging issues in regulated markets to inform ASIC's priorities.
  • Support people management within the SI team, promoting development and wellbeing.
  • Monitor regulated financial markets to identify key developments and risks to consumers and market integrity.
  • Collaborate with business, IT and analytics teams to design next-generation data-driven tools.
  • Work across ASIC on multi-disciplinary projects to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Strengthen the Registry & Intelligence group's influence and leadership across ASIC.

About You In addition, you will have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., intelligence analysis, finance, commerce) or equivalent senior-level experience.
  • Proven leadership in managing projects and mentoring teams within financial services, regulation, government or business.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and regulatory implications.
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, including data manipulation expertise.
  • Demonstrated project management capability with strong conceptual, analytical and resource allocation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
