Infrastructure Architect

An experienced Infrastructure Architect is required to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end ICT infrastructure architectures across a portfolio of major healthcare capital works. Reporting to the program’s digital leadership team, you will provide technical direction across multiple concurrent initiatives, including new facilities, refurbishment programs, service implementations and future expansion planning. You will work closely with project teams, system integrators, vendors, construction partners and senior stakeholders to ensure digital infrastructure solutions are scalable, integrated, resilient and aligned with clinical, operational and enterprise requirements.

• Paying up to $1385 per day
• 12 month contract with likely extension
• Brisbane CBD location with some travel to Cairns

Key responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure architecture across complex, multi-stream capital works.
• Develop integrated, fit-for-purpose solutions across multiple technology domains.
• Provide architectural governance, assurance and risk management.
• Translate clinical, operational and facility requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Coordinate with system integrators, construction teams, vendors and delivery partners.
• Ensure solutions support current project requirements and future site expansion.
• Identify and mitigate technical dependencies, integration risks and delivery constraints.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technology environment The role covers a broad range of infrastructure domains, including:

• Communications rooms and structured cabling
• Wired and wireless networks
• External connectivity
• Telephony and messaging platforms
• End-user computing
• Server and storage platforms
• Audio-visual and collaboration technologies
• Clinical and facility systems
• Nurse call, patient systems and digital wayfinding
• Security, access control and building management system integration
• Antenna and in-building communications systems

About you You will bring:

• Extensive infrastructure architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong capability integrating multiple infrastructure and technology domains.
• Experience applying enterprise architecture, governance and assurance frameworks.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and architectural risk-management skills.
• Experience supporting major capital works, healthcare, construction or similarly complex programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across executives, vendors and external delivery partners.
• The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
