About the Opportunity
As the Governance Administrator for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you'll be responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the Governance forums that underpin the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement.
The role will be responsible for facilitating governance meetings, supporting forums and forum member activities, maintaining governance records, minute taking, action tracking and ensuring documentation is compliant, accurate, accessible, and up to date.

What's Involved
- Support the implementation and ongoing frameworks, policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining governance registers, including policies, delegations, conflicts of interest and compliance obligations
- Coordinate governance and committee meetings
- Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting papers, and supporting documents
- Maintain governance records, databases, and document management systems
- Ensure records are retained and managed in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements
- Work with forum members and SME's to prepare reports, briefing papers, and governance-related correspondence
- Maintain reporting calendars and support the preparation of regular governance reports
- Provide administrative support to governance forums and working groups
- Respond to governance related enquiries from both internal and Commonwealth stakeholders
You'll Need
- Previous experience in an administrative, governance, compliance, legal or corporate support role
- Demonstrated experience coordinating meetings and preparing agendas and minutes
- Strong understanding of document and record management practices
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience producing high-quality, professional documents including reports, proposals, and presentations
- Experienced in using advanced features as mail merge for mass communications and creating and utilising templates to ensure brand consistency
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
