About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join the Corporate Services Division. This role operates within a shared‑services procurement model and partners closely with business areas to deliver compliant, fit‑for‑purpose procurement outcomes.
You will work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, supporting complex and strategic procurement activities—particularly within ICT, digital or technology‑enabled environments.
You will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end procurement activities, including complex and open‑market approaches. The role involves developing high‑quality procurement documentation such as Procurement Plans, RFx documents, Statements of Requirements, contracts, and evaluation and negotiation plans, as well as providing authoritative procurement advice to internal stakeholders and contributing to executive briefs and approvals. You will partner closely with business areas to plan upcoming procurement needs and deliver value‑for‑money outcomes, contribute to procurement capability uplift through quality assurance and mentoring, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Agency at meetings as required.

Skills and experience (essential criteria)
You are a confident procurement professional who brings:
- Proven experience in a similar procurement role, ideally within ICT, digital or complex service environments
- Strong knowledge of procurement methodology and best practice (public or private sector)
- Demonstrated experience managing complex procurements and developing RFx documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and educate stakeholders
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Advanced skills in relevant software tools (e.g. Excel; Power BI highly regarded); SAP experience desirable
Essential requirements
- Australian citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance (and higher if required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracts) is highly desirable
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between $101,379 - $114,373 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
