_We have 2 exciting opportunities available; one for the AM shift (7:30am-4:30pm) and one for the PM shift (2pm-10pm), giving you the opportunity to fit your work around your life!_About the Role
Reporting to the DC Manager, these roles will be responsible for leading a function or shift within our Distribution Centre, managing a team of between 20 & 50 people depending on the shift you are on.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and role modelling a safety culture through effective risk management and consultation with the team regarding all health and safety matters.
- Leading and developing teams to ensure the skills and capabilities are in place to deliver to the business strategy
- Providing visible, values based, leadership and role modelling to the functional team and to the wider DC team
- Building capability of the warehouse teams & enabling self-sufficient teams who are multi-skilled across all areas of the DC
- Monitoring, interpreting and analysing data to make informed decisions regarding operations
- Taking accountability for the results of the function including safety quality, reliability, productivity & costs
- Eliminating losses and root cause problem solving within the function and sharing key learnings with the wider DC teams
- Managing labour and overtime costs and ensure they are in line with budget
- Taking a proactive role in quality management and act appropriately to rectify issues as identified.
- Delivering on functional and financial objectives including annual budgets, expenses, variances and initiate corrective actions when required
- Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or similar
- Front line supervisory qualifications equivalent to AQF Level IV
- At least 3+ years’ experience managing critical functions within Distribution Centres and managing large teams
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
- Exceptional people and business leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build a highly accountable and collaborative culture across the operations functions.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and implement plant reliability and optimisation programs.
- Sound knowledge of the technology that drives operational efficiencies and improvements.
- Effective Communication, influencing and integration skills.
- Problem solving and reasoning skills
