The OpportunityBlueScope Building Components is looking for a Transport Supervisor to join the Operations team based in Novar Gardens SA. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys**.**

This is a dynamic and varied role that offers new challenges each day, with responsibilities for the Transport contract, delivery to customers, and customer collection. You’ll lead a small, diverse team and can demonstrate your strengths while growing your career with an iconic Australian company.

We’re looking for a self-driven, agile thinker with the ability to adapt quickly and effectively manage competing priorities.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week within the trading hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm.What Will You Do?

You will ensure that our customers’ expectations are met in a timely and efficient manner and manage the relationship with our external transport provider to ensure compliance with safety and maintain operational performance. To achieve this, you will supervise the team and provide hands-on support by:

• ensuring efficient utilisation of staff to meet operational demands
• attending to customers who collect from the Novar Garden facility
• managing customer orders by interacting with internal stakeholders to ensure we can meet our customer’s expectations
• managing the relationship and contract compliance with our external transport provider ensuring safe operating procedures are always maintained
• ensuring compliance with safety procedures and load restraints are met
• overseeing the unloading of incoming deliveries and loading of customers’ vehicles in a safe manner
• providing timely communication to customers and internal stakeholders
