About the role:

As the Associate Facilities Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of one of CDC's world-class data centre campuses, ensuring the safe, secure and efficient delivery of services to our customers and the business. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll lead a team of Facilities Coordinators and work closely with site-based contractors, driving operational performance, customer outcomes and site excellence.

This is a highly visible leadership role suited to someone who thrives on balancing people leadership, stakeholder engagement and operational delivery. You'll be responsible for maintaining momentum across a wide range of activities, ensuring priorities are managed effectively, vendors are held accountable and your team is set up for success. While your team will be hands-on in the day-to-day facilities operations, you'll focus on driving outcomes, removing roadblocks and maintaining a high-performing site.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of Facilities Coordinators and site-based operational staff.
  • Driving the day-to-day operation of the campus to ensure service excellence and operational readiness.
  • Managing customer requests and ensuring operational issues are resolved effectively.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing vendor performance and ensuring contractual obligations are delivered.
  • Coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring preventative maintenance requirements are met.
  • Monitoring operational risks and escalating issues that may impact site performance or uptime.
  • Supporting procurement activities, budget outcomes and cost-control initiatives.
  • Driving workplace health, safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Preparing operational updates, reporting and communications while contributing to site improvement projects

About you: 

You're a proactive and people-focused leader who knows how to bring teams together, build strong relationships and drive results. You have experience leading operational teams in fast-paced environments and can confidently balance multiple priorities without losing sight of what matters most.

You don't need to be the technical expert in the room, but you know how to hold people accountable, coordinate stakeholders and ensure commitments are delivered. Whether your background is in facilities, operations, business management or a similar environment, you're someone who takes ownership, solves problems and gets things done.

You'll also bring:

  • Proven experience leading and developing frontline teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound operational decisions
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors or service providers and driving accountability
  • A customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the business
  • A passion for continuous improvement and creating high-performing teams

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
