PLC Supervisor

About The Role Trade qualification as an Electrician with relevant post-trade qualifications in PLC programming and industrial automation or equivalent Engineering qualification. Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying PLC systems (Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix). Specific experience working on Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). Strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Key Responsabilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC-controlled TBM systems and update software and hardware as needed.
• Maintain and repair PLC and electrical systems for auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate electrical components and instrumentation across various systems.
• Follow all safety regulations, perform LOTO procedures, and ensure work meets quality and compliance standards.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and PLC changes, and prepare technical performance reports.
• Collaborate with project personnel and communicate technical issues and solutions clearly and effectively.
• Identify system improvement opportunities and stay current with PLC technologies and best practices.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for electrical and control systems during operations and commissioning.

About You

• Trade qualification as an Electrician with relevant post-trade qualifications in PLC programming and industrial automation or equivalent Engineering qualification.
