The Opportunity

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes sport, culture, and all things social. You'll play a key role in how our clients and owned brands show up online, leading paid and organic strategy and execution across channels. You'll bring sharp strategic thinking, a deep understanding of what's trending, and the ability to turn cultural moments into content that connects.

The Role

The Social Media Manager will take ownership of paid and organic social media strategy and execution across our client and owned brand channels. You'll lead content planning, manage campaigns end to end, and bring a confident point of view on what's working in social right now. You'll be across the trends before they peak, and know exactly how to apply them to the brands you work with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement paid and organic social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and beyond, managing budgets, targeting, and performance against agreed KPIs
  • Identify and act on cultural trends across sport, music, fashion, and internet culture, translating them into timely and relevant content ideas
  • Build and manage content calendars that balance always-on activity, campaign moments, and reactive trend-led content
  • Brief and collaborate with designers, creatives, and editors to bring content concepts to life
  • Write sharp, on-brand copy that adapts seamlessly across multiple brand voices and platforms
  • Own community management across client channels, driving meaningful engagement and audience growth
  • Monitor platform algorithms, format changes, and emerging features, proactively identifying opportunities for clients
  • Deliver regular reporting and performance analysis across paid and organic activity, with clear and actionable recommendations
  • Contribute to strategic presentations and client conversations around social performance and direction
  • Work collaboratively with the broader team and support junior staff where needed

Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years experience in social media, ideally within sport, culture, or lifestyle brands, or agencies working in this space
  • Proven experience developing and executing paid and organic social strategies that deliver measurable results
  • Hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns across Meta and TikTok, including audience targeting, budget management, and performance optimisation
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms, with a strong and current instinct for trends and what converts
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across multiple brands
  • Passion for sport, culture, and the moments that get people talking online
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Comfortable presenting results, strategies, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency with scheduling and management tools such as Later, Sprout Social, or Meta Business Suite
  • Solid analytical capability, comfortable interpreting data across paid and organic channels and translating it into clear next steps
  • A collaborative team player who brings energy, curiosity, and creative thinking to everything they do

Desirable

  • Experience working with sport, lifestyle, or consumer brands in the Australian market
  • Familiarity with the Australian sports and entertainment landscape
  • Understanding of influencer and creator collaboration as part of a broader social strategy
  • Experience supporting or guiding junior social media staff

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work across campaigns for leading Australian and global brands
  • A creative, collaborative culture where great ideas and fresh thinking are genuinely valued

We appreciate all applications; however, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
