We work in partnership with the School and the Approved Provider, Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd (CEWA), as a not-for-profit organisation, providing a service to our community that promotes high-quality education and care for school-aged children. Nominated Supervisors to be part of a close-knit network with opportunities for ongoing collaboration. About The Role The position available covers a maternity leave period. The Nominated Supervisor will be required to lead the daily operations of our OSHC service, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality environment for children aged 4–12 years. The fixed term position will be from 11 May 2026 - 5 May 2028 to replace staff on Maternity Leave. [28 April - 8 May 2026 will be a paid handover period]. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the OSHC service in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF), including Quality Area planning and assessment.
- Ensure compliance with all WA regulatory requirements, including policies, procedures, ratio adherence, and child safety legislative changes.
- Provide strong pedagogical leadership, supporting educators to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programs for school-aged children.
- Build and maintain respectful partnerships with children, families, educators, the school community, and the Approved Provider.
- Oversee staffing, rostering, budgeting, and administrative functions.
- Promote a child-safe environment where children are seen as capable and confident individuals and their views are valued.
- Promote a collaborative, reflective team culture grounded in professional practice and Catholic values.
- Report to the school Principal and CEWA Care Services Team, who provide additional support, and ensure compliance within the service on behalf of the Approved Provider.
- Attendance at online and face-to-face meetings as requested by the Approved Provider.
The Ideal CandidateWe Are Seeking Someone Who
- Has the ability to commence in the position from 28 April 2026 to enable an effective handover from the current Nominated Supervisor
- Holds an ACECQA Approved Qualification to work in a WA OSHC service as a first qualified educator
- Degree or Diploma is children’s studies covering the age range of 4-14 years under the Australian Qualifications Framework OR completed 50 per cent and continuing study towards completion, OR
- Degree or Diploma in education, recreation, sport science, leisure studies, social and behavioural science, nursing or allied health, OR
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR School Based Education, OR
- Certificate IV in children’s studies covering the age range of 4-14 years
