About The Team In the Planning and Regulation Department, the Public Safety Compliance business unit is responsible for managing regulatory operations across a diverse range of the City’s Local Laws including education, compliance and enforcement action as required to protect the safety and amenity of residents and visitors. The business unit also includes the delivery of protective security across all Council facilities and the d elivery of Community Safety programs and services, including the Safety Camera Network, to ensure a safe city for residents and visitors. About Your New Role This position will be responsible for delivering strategic outcomes and contributing to projects and administration related to the Safety Camera (CCTV) Network, as part of the City's community safetyprogram. You will be part of a small team which contributes to program delivery and customer service activities. This portfolio is both fascinating and dynamic, making it an ideal fit for individuals with versatile skills and expertise. ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Provide project support and assist in establishing and implementing procedures and work methods in relation to the Safety Camera (CCTV) Network.
- Perform duties in accordance with the City’s High Performance Principles
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all City personnel and external stakeholders and residents, representing the Business Unit.
- Establish working knowledge of any legislative requirements that are relevant to the work being undertaken.
- Provide support in the initiation, planning and implementation stages of projects and program activities.
- Monitor and track enquiries andrequests, budgets, progress status, risks and other issues using relevant methods and software systems.
- Coordinate incoming enquiries and requests, responding to enquiries or escalating to the appropriate team member.
- Undertake research and analysis in assigned project area/s and contribute to the preparation of project documentation.
- Contribute to meetings, including development of agendas and minutes, recording outcomes and actions.
- Procurement support to raise business related shopping carts, manage purchase orders, invoices and receipting.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information in accordance with information privacy and protocols.

- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of software including MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Teams.
- Desirable - Certificate IV- Project Management Practice or equivalent knowledge
- Strong administrative background
- Practical and technical knowledge relevant to the position.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships using exceptional interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable and willing to take on new tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in preparing, reviewing and updating documentation
- Willing to obtain a criminal history check.
