The Role
Crown Resorts is seeking a Senior Design Manager – Architecture to lead and deliver innovative design solutions across major projects. You will oversee design activities from concept through to construction completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with Crown’s operational requirements and brand standards.
This role involves managing consultant engagement, design development, and documentation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Do
- Manage consultant engagement and ensure teams are briefed in line with Crown operational requirements and design briefs.
- Define and communicate responsibilities clearly to ensure accountability across all project stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate design development and documentation from concept through all phases.
- Monitor design progress to ensure documentation aligns with cost plans, procurement, and construction programs.
- Oversee change management and cost control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety in design requirements.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, budget, and coordination.
What We’re Looking For
- Recognised Architectural Degree (Postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Extensive experience in design management for large-scale projects, ideally in hospitality, entertainment, or retail sectors.
- Proven ability to lead consultant teams and manage complex design programs.
- Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to negotiate solutions and foster collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change.
- Commitment to inclusive teamwork and openness to innovative ideas.
