The Digital Customer (Smart Service Queensland) team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, chat, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services. As The Change Manager, You Will

  • Develop, lead, and manage organisational change management and communication activities (including business planning) in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice and leadership to Smart Service leaders on organisational change management, ensuring all necessary change management, communication and engagement elements are embedded in plans and any related policies, processes and procedures are addressed
  • Support and work closely with project managers, initiative leads, business area managers and training and development experts to identify and manage change related linkages and interdependencies and ensure alignment with organisational strategy
  • Conduct organisational change impact and readiness assessments and consult with stakeholders to develop and recommend strategies for managing organisational changes
  • Monitor, evaluate and report to key stakeholders on the effectiveness of change management plans to ensure achievement of desired organisational change outcomes
  • Support and work closely with project and initiative leads regarding the communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to ensure changes are understood and to foster commitment to these changes
  • Ensure that change management related risks and issues are promptly identified and effectively managed through the development of appropriate risk management strategies and initiatives
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and other required change management engagement activities (including business planning)
  • Manage the Change and Communication Team daily operational requirements and budget.
