BMS Engineer – Data Centre ProjectsMelbourne | $150,000 + Super + Vehicle

Our client, a well-established name in the building automation and controls industry, is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join their Melbourne team, working on mission-critical data centre projects across new builds, upgrades, and ongoing service delivery.

The Role

• Design, configure, and commission BMS solutions for critical environments within data centre facilities
• Develop and customise software points, graphics, and control strategies to support uptime and reliability requirements
• Carry out on-site commissioning, fault finding, and corrective works in live, mission-critical environments
• Prepare engineering documentation, including operational descriptions, schematics, and as-built records
• Support energy optimisation and monitoring initiatives across critical infrastructure
• Provide post-contract service support and respond to callouts within agreed SLAs
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure safe, seamless project delivery in high-availability environments

About You

• Proven experience in BMS/BAS engineering, ideally with exposure to data centre or other critical/mission-critical environments
• Strong working knowledge of major BMS platforms (Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Tridium Niagara, Distech, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Comfortable working to strict safety and change-control protocols in live critical environments
• Confident troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, both on-site and remote
• Relevant trade or engineering qualifications
• Full driver's licence
